I'll be honest, I'm not super super good at piano, I just enjoy playing it and composing songs. Since my family has been getting on to me about recording what I compose, this is to help motivate me to do so.

S.S. Voyager
It's more of a tune than a song and I'm hoping I can come up with more for it. I'm calling it S.S. Voyager because it reminds me of the S.S. Anne theme from first generation. For all I know, I could be subconsciously be playing part of that theme by ear. xD

Good job. Probably better than I can do, therefore it's good. Not like that's a high standard, but...whatever I said it's good that's good enough good?

If you don't mind taking a few requests, remember the youtube composition of "Only Hope"? Yeah do that one for me if you can. And also Umbrella by Rihanna would sound nice.

Catchy tune, if it was a bit longer I'd say it would be perfect in PWO.

@Peaches: Sorry, I don't take requests. I'm terrible at sight-reading so I typically only play what I compose. I am attempting to sight read the S.S. Anne them, but it's only one page.
Anyhow, this is my Cannon improv I did a while back. Two noticeable mistakes in there somewhere, but oh well. Enjoy.

Another good job. Well, if you change your mind and start taking requests...I think you're good enough to successfully "play" the super-difficult 4:33 by John Cage! (taught my cat to "play" it, no joke)

I'm just really busy tonight, aren't I?
This is a fun one. I came up with part of it a while back, but wrote the rest of it tonight. This has got to be one of my favorites to play.

Could I use your pieces in a video if I make one that doesn't have sound? I don't really have anything in mind, but for future reference in case I think any of them will fit in/flow nicely with something.

Sure, I've got no problems with that. Just give my username a spot in the end credits.

Do you think if I write a song with my ocarina you could do it over with your piano/keyboard in your way :3

Maybe, but you'll have to write out the note names for me.

I don't mean the sheet music, just the letters. With that and a recording of your song (depending on how long it is and how long I can pay attention to it) I'll be able to make the sheet music myself. I could try playing by ear, but I might end up in a different key.

For now, this is just a bump so I don't have to go through the trouble of finding this topic again. xD But I did record about thirty minutes of improvisation which I'll post as soon as I can. I'm gonna have to break it up into three or four parts so I can upload the entire thing which I know is going to be hassle.
Since I can't post it yet, I'm just going to rant a little about improvisations. Since music is one of the few ways I can fully express my emotions, an improvisation is the rawest emotions you'll ever get from me. Nothing's been tampered with, nothing's been tweaked. There's no set order to the themes or melodies which creates a sort of flowing effect. Because of this, it's great for background music. Another reason I love doing improvisations is because it's a chance to measure my skill level. I can play whatever my fingers will let me play. No complicated note structures to remember, no sheet music to rip up when I have trouble understanding someone else's expressed emotions. Furthermore, I feel good when I play. My mind fills to the brim with only my mood. All my senses focus in on the piece. My hands move mostly on their own with only minor directions from conscious thought: get a little quieter here, speed up some, play without the pedal for a bit, etc.
/end rant. Ah, the wonders of a mind at peace. Night everyone. I'll try to post the song tomorrow.

If I had to choose, I'd go with Sawyer. I have spoken, go forth and multiply your chapters!
But yeah, I found myself listening to SS Voyager and your Cannon variation this morning so post this hour long improvisation. Concerning the zombie fic.. Well, I don't need to tell you again. Post or face my wrath.

For whatever reason, tindeck is acting like a chocobo with its wings cut off so I've only been able to upload part 1 of my 30 minute long song. Anyhow, here it is:

Possibly the most depressing music I've ever came across. No rhythm, no tempo, dull notes. Be happy, Fish!

Of course it's depressing. I played it the week before my summer vacation ended. I was going for my particular mood at that point in time. Anyhow, my college apparently blocks tindeck so I'll have to wait till I get home to finish uploading the last two parts.

I demand another composition! Somewhere between now and last year, I've grown to like piano covers and such... so much, I've considered dropping the radio stuff for purely piano compositions. But since that's never going to happen, the best I can hope for is lessening the stuff I hear in my car and requesting for you to produce more pieces. So get to it monkey. I want one before Thanksgiving!
